Bought Secondhand camera, purple dots on images. …

+

Sep 12, 2014· I have bought a camera, but unfortunally it has some purple dots on every image I take. I have tried sensor cleaning, and my Canon repairman tells me the sensor needs to be replaced (my insurance covers some, but not all costs). Yes, i have tried with different lenses, the problem persists.

May 31, 2012· I''m getting as the subject says white dots and purple dots in my photos, usually on dark surfaces, even in daylight. I thought it was dust so I cleaned it, moved it to multiple rooms. No clue. The Camera is a 1100D Canon and is new. They almost look like stars, which makes me wonder if the Camera has been used before and the sensor has been burnt?

Sep 02, 2021· Z50 sensor cleaning. Oct 17, 2019. Nikon urges against trying to clean the Z6/7 sensor yourself. Presumably IBIS could make things a bit delicate, so they feel obliged to warn against this, although it''s obvious some Z6/7 owners are doing it. However, the Z50 doesn''t have IBIS, nor I believe a dust shakeoff system.

Jan 12, 2019· I got it back yesterday and the dust remains. Either they didn''t clean the sensor at all (doubtful), or I have more dust under the sensor glass on this second copy. Now, I''m not one to be a stickler for sensor dust. It''s an easy fix in post, but it''s the dust that can never be removed that bugs me. I shoot at small apertures a lot.

Feb 08, 2021· The dust spots are blurred, because they are on top of the sensor stack and distant from the sensor surface. But those purple hairs are pretty sharp. So they must live right on top of the sensor itself, I am afraid. I do not think you can remove them yourself. And I do not think it is worth having them removed, given the very low price you can ...

Feb 27, 2017· My only Olympus that needed dust removed from the sensor was my E510 (DSLR) and a Giottos blower took care of that. Jun 06, 2019· The sensor and camera electronics do not work in square blocks. Dust never appears as purple squares either . That all leads us to a problem in conversion of the RAW. Something else is noticable: the result of the RAW conversion is very noisy/grainy, even though you shot at ISO 100.
