21/1/2012· I am fairly sure that Model year 2000+ Subaru Legacy cars abandoned the Whole Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) technology and instead started using Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP). I could be mistaken on this though.

18/7/2020· looking into the stock map sensor (not the plug) the left one is ground and the right is the power supply which leaves the middle as the signal. looking into the mass air sensor plug (not the sensor) the left is the power supply, second to the left is a ground, middle should be the maf input, second to the right is the ait input and the right one should be the shield ground.

Subaru used one or the other but not both from what I remember. the EJ25D (dohc engine) was a MAF engine, the EJ251 (sohc) is a MAP engine.
