Dec 09, 2021· Probably best to get a service technician to check out the system and possibly replace the sensor. Question: I have an ADEMCO Vista 10SE system. The monitor service has been terminated for several years. Recently I armed the system, but opening the door won''t trigger the alarm.

The process for resetting the Installer Code for Honeywell Vista panels is fairly easy when there is a standard 6150 or 6160 style keypad in place which is typical. If you have a touchscreen style keypad such as the 6280 or Tuxedo this backdoor method will unfortunately not work.
Dec 20, 2010· I have a home Ademco Vista 20P security system. It is 4 1/2 years olds and has worked fine until now. On the disaplay panel it has a zone number, 10, and "bat" flashing. The zone number refers to an entry door that is hard wired. I thought the system back up battery was probably going bad and replaced it. This did not solve the problem.
Whether you''re working with wireless or wired control panels and keypads, there are contacts that can fit any application desired. Honeywell Ademco''s motion sensors offer passive infrared functionality, as well as certain models that offer dualtechnology detection with microwave detection and passive infrared in one device.
The recommended sensors to use with the Vista 10SE are Honeywell 5800 devices. 5800 sensors have about a 200 foot transmitting range, are not encrypted, and except for the devices that use a House ID to operate, do not have bidirectional communication. The House ID feature allows a compatible device to use bidirectional communication.
What Sensors Work on a VISTA20P? The Honeywell VISTA20P supports normally closed and normally open wired devices. There are 8 wired zones on the panel itself and it supports up to 48 wired zones. This system also supports up to 40 wireless security sensors. The 5800 Series RF devices will require a compatible RF receiver.
Observe the master console of the Ademco alarm system. The "Low Bat" light is illuminated when the system needs a battery replacement. The display on the master console shows a number of the sensor that needs a battery. If your system is disarmed, the master console emits fast pulsing beeps. If your system is armed, there are no audible tones.
Mounting the sensors with a spacer that is not conductive (wood, plastic, foam, or etc.) will help the sensors to work more reliably, so that they are situated away from any metal when they are mounted. Check The Status Of The Sensor Light.

The alarm systems they produced, including the Via Series and old Vista Series (such as 10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 50, 128, 4120 and 4140) have reached their end of life and are no longer manufactured. If you cannot find service professionals for your old Ademco alarm, you’re not alone.
Dec 27, 2014· Please work with me until I can either help you or optout. Thanks! This trouble indicates that zone or sensor 09 is not working properly or is open or not secured or shut all the way. If you get an "09" and a BAT message the the battery in sensor 09 needs to be replaced. The is probably a card on the keypad that indicates what 09 is. Glen
